Identification
Collared lizards are typically 8-14 inches long. They can range in color from tan to green to vivid yellow and orange. Both males and females possess two collar-like black bands at their neck.

Diet
Insects and other lizards

Reproduction & Lifespan
The collared lizard lays 2-12 eggs in the spring/early summer. They will bury the eggs in loose sand and beneath stones to protect them from predators. The eggs will hatch about 10 weeks of incubation.

The average lifespan of a collared lizard is 5-8 years.
