Volunteer Opportunities
Support Elmwood Park Zoo with your gift of time. Each year, dedicated volunteers donate thousands of hours to help with education programs, guest services, maintenance and animal care. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for groups and individuals 14 years of age and up, including the Docent and Junior Docent programs, academic internships and group projects. Volunteers are a critical part of the zoo team, helping to provide vibrant educational and interpretive programs that motivate people to learn more about the natural world and take steps to preserve it.
