INVERTEBRATES

What are Invertebrates?

The species that lacks a vertebral column or “spine,” invertebrates comprise over 95% of all known animal species. Invertebrates include spiders, bees, worms, jellyfish, lobster, and snails.

Did you know?

You may assume when butterflies living in cooler climates disappear for the winter that they may have died off. Some do, but some spend the winter hibernating, while others migrate to warmer climates. The North American monarch butterfly, for example, spends its winter in Mexico.
