MAMMALS

What are Mammals?

Mammals are warm-blooded vertebrate animals that typically have hair on their bodies and produce milk to feed their young. There are over 4000 species of mammals, of which humans are one.

Did you know?

The platypus is one of only two species belonging to the Monotremata order of mammals. Monotremes are different from their fellow mammals in that they lay eggs.
