ADVENTURE FAQ

Q:   What should I wear?
A:   To ensure complete safety, all participants must wear closed-toe shoes. Athletic sneakers are recommended. Absolutely no flip flops, sandals, crocs, high heels, or slip on shoes are allowed. We recommend wearing comfortable, climate-appropriate clothing. Although shorts are allowed, long pants are recommended due to the way harnesses rest around the waist and thighs. Please be advised that the trees produce sap that may occasionally end up on your clothing. Long hair should be tied back to avoid interfering with equipment. All jewelry and loose items must be removed before entering the course. All required safety equipment (gloves, harness, etc.) will be provided by Treetop Adventures.

Q:   What if I start the course and then change my mind?
A:   Treetop Adventures does not issue refunds for any reason, including weather, change of plans, etc. Participants who are unsure about the course are encouraged to observe others before starting or try the Quick Zip before committing to the Treetop Zoofari. If an evacuation or rescue takes place, you will not be permitted to re-enter the course.

Q:   Can I watch my friends/family do the course from the ground?
A:   Yes. The entire Cub Climb and phase one of Treetop Zoofari can be seen from the viewing platform. Because the park is located within the Zoo, all guests will be required to pay Zoo admission before being given access to Treetop Adventures.
Q:   What happens in the event of inclement weather?
A:   Treetop Adventures operates rain or shine, unless the safety of participants is at risk due to severe weather conditions. It is the responsibility of participants to check the weather forecast before committing to a course. If you have a reservation, you may change your date/time with no less than 24 hours notice. During peak season (April - October), groups may not reschedule unless park management deems the course unsafe for the date of your reservation.

Q:   What kind of physical activity is required?
A:   All participants should be reasonably fit and able to walk up a flight of stairs unassisted. They may be required upon occasion to pull themselves along a stretch of cable if they should lose momentum before reaching any given landing platform (guides may assist with this process).

Q:   Is there a time limit on the course(s)?
A:   There is no time limit, however groups must be finished with the course by dusk. If you anticipate you may require more than the duration listed, it is recommended that you start early in the day. Slower groups are encouraged to let others go around them to avoid causing backups and long wait times for others.

Q:   Is there a weight limit?
A:   Yes. Our harnesses have a maximum capacity of 300 lbs. Harnesses can accommodate up to approximately a 48” waist and 26” thigh.

Q:   How many people can participate at one time?
A:   Our courses have a maximum of 15 participants every 30 minutes for the Treetop Zoofari and 20 participants every 30 minutes for the Cub Climb. Space fills quickly and it is recommended that you make a reservation to avoid long wait times.
