Elmwood Park Zoo is conveniently located two miles from the Pennsylvania Turnpike, three miles from I-476 (the Blue Route), and three miles from I-76 (the Schuylkill Expressway.) The Zoo is less than a quarter mile from US Route 202, and three miles from Rt 422. The Zoo is easily accessible from major local roads like Ridge Pike, Germantown Pike, and Rt. 23 (Valley Forge Road) and is within five miles of other attractions like Valley Forge Park, the King of Prussia Plaza and Court, and the Plymouth Meeting Mall.

Directions From...

From the North (including Blue Bell, Lansdale, Montgomeryville, etc.)
Take US Route 202 south toward Norristown and King of Prussia. When US Route 202 forks, take the right fork onto Swede Road. (US 202 South) Stay on Swede Road; you will cross Township Line Road, and Germantown Pike. After Germantown Pike, make a right at the next traffic light onto Johnson Highway. Make your first left onto Chain Street. The Zoo is on the right after the second stop sign.

From the South (King of Prussia, West Chester, Paoli, etc.)
Take US Route 202 north toward Norristown. DO NOT take the right-exit onto 202 Business.  Stay straight through this interchange. Cross over Main Street in Norristown onto Markley Street. Make a left onto Johnson Highway (you will see a Dunkin Donuts on the right) Make your first left onto Chain Street. The Zoo is on the right after the second stop sign.

Points East (Conshohocken, etc.)
Take Ridge Pike (Main Street / Ridge Ave) west toward Norristown. Make a right onto Markley Street in Norristown (you will see a McDonalds on your right). Make a left onto Johnson Highway (you will see a Dunkin Donuts on the right) Make your first left onto Chain Street. The Zoo is on the right after the second stop sign.

Points West (Audubon, Collegeville, Limerick)
Take Ridge Pike (Main Street) east toward Norristown. Make a left onto Markley Street in Norristown. (you will see a McDonalds on your left) Make a left onto Johnson Highway. (you will see a Dunkin Donuts on the right) Make your first left onto Chain Street. The Zoo is on the right after the second stop sign.

I-76 (the Schuylkill Expressway)
Take exit 331B, PLYMOUTH MEETING onto I-476, the Blue Route. Take exit 18B, NORRISTOWN and bear right off the ramp onto Chemical Road. Bear right on Chemical Road, and turn right onto Main Street. (Ridge Pike) Make a right onto Markley Street. (you will see a McDonalds on your right) follow to traffice light Make a left onto Johnson Highway. (you will see a Dunkin Donuts on the right) Make your first left onto Chain Street. The Zoo is on the right after the second stop sign.

I-476 (the Blue Route)
Take exit 18B, NORRISTOWN and bear right off the ramp onto Chemical Road. Bear right on Chemical Road, and turn right onto Main Street. (Ridge Pike) Make a right onto Markley Street. (you will see a McDonalds on your right) Make a left onto Johnson Highway. (you will see a Dunkin Donuts on the right) Make your first left onto Chain Street. The Zoo is on the right after the second stop sign.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike (including the Northeast Extension)
If you are coming from the Northeast Extension, come South to exit 20, HARRISBURG / NORRISTOWN. Take exit 333, NORRISTOWN.  At the bottom of the ramp, bear left onto Plymouth Road. Bear right on Plymouth Road, and turn right onto Germantown Pike. After about three miles, turn left onto Swede Road. Make a right onto Johnson Highway (you will see a Dunkin Donuts on the left) Make your first left onto Chain Street. The Zoo is on the right after the second stop sign.
