Want to learn about animals?  Is your school, scout, church or other community group seeking someone to engage their intelligence and touch their heart at a meeting?  Consider a Zoo on Wheels!

Each year, animals from Elmwood Park Zoo visit hundreds of schools, hospitals, and community centers in educational excursions.  Zoo staff accompany to teach about wildlife and their habitats, and the importance of protecting our essential biomes!  Often these educational programs serve as supplements to student classroom work, and help to bring learning to life!

If your group serves hospitalized children, or the aged, you may be eligible for a free or discounted visit by Zoo on Wheels!  Contact the Zoo's Education Manager to discuss your opportunities.

All programs feature three live animals and touchable artifacts, and educational programs that vary in length based on the age of your audience.  Zoo on Wheels is offered year-round, and is tailored to the age of your audience.  The Zoo also travels to events and sets up displays with no formal program.
