Zoo Rentals

Elmwood Park Zoo is an ideal venue for a corporate event, family reunion, political fundraiser, party, bar or bat mitzvah, or even a wedding! Imagine exchanging vows beneath a clear blue sky, framed by the majesty of bald eagles in an open-air habitat! Certain locations are available for rent year-round, and special arrangements can be made upon request.

Create excitement by adding pony rides, face painting, greeting with animals, or even an animal encounter to make your event one-of-a-kind. Additional fees apply.

Reservations should be made at least two weeks in advance. A 50% deposit is required to reserve your rental and will be credited toward your final bill. Rentals are rain or shine; however, in the event of severe inclement weather Elmwood Park Zoo reserves the right to reschedule your event to a mutually convenient date.

Checks should be made payable to Elmwood Park Zoo. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.

Evening Rentals

Plan an unforgettable celebration at Elmwood Park Zoo! The zoo is available for evening rentals, from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. You may extend the rental by up to two hours for an additional fee.

Rental packages include admission for up to 500 guests and exclusive use of the Canopy Gardens Pavilion and zoo grounds (please note that many of our animals are taken off exhibit at 8:00 p.m.). We also provide tables and chairs for up to 150 guests; any additional equipment must be rented and is not included in your rental fee.

We would be pleased to open the Cougar Cafe and/or the Lenore Weiss Nature Shop for your guests upon request for an after-hours event.

Daytime Rentals: Canopy Garden Pavilion

The Canopy Gardens Pavilion is a beautiful venue for business meetings, luncheons, corporate picnics and other special occasions. It may be rented from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Rental package includes admission to the zoo for up to 150 guests, and we provide tables and chairs for up to 150 guests. Any additional equipment must be rented and is not included in your rental fee.

Catering services are also available upon request; a fee will be assessed if you prefer to work with the caterer of your choice. A Certificate of Insurance must be provided by your caterer.
