The Muscovy duck is most recognizable by its large red warty caruncles above its beak and around its eyes. Muscovies are more of a tree bird, rather than a water bird, and are excellent flyers. Their sharp, long claws allow them to clasp and perch on to tree branches. Unlike other ducks, muscovies don’t quack, instead they chirp or hiss. Although they are a tropical bird, they can adapt to very frigid temperatures, as well as hot conditions
