WHEN DO TICKETS GO ON SALE?
Tickets will be available for exclusively for the zoo’s Yearly Members beginning at 10 am on Monday, August 17. Remaining tickets will be made available to the general public on Wednesday, August 19 at 10 am. Tickets will be available for the event in 15 minute intervals, from 5 to 7 pm. Only one ticket is required per vehicle.

ARE THERE ANY VEHICLE LIMITATIONS?
Because of the safari’s path, only sedans and compact SUVs are recommended. Larger SUVs/Trucks will have difficulty navigating safely. In addition, motorcycles, diesel trucks, vehicles with loud exhausts, limos, or larger passenger vans will not be permitted and will be turned away without refund.

WHAT WILL I SEE?
Not all of the zoo’s animals will be visible during the safari. Those viewable are listed on the safari’s webpage. We appreciate your understanding.

WHERE DO I ENTER?
To enter the safari, guests are asked to pull into the zoo’s newest parking lot, where Johnson Highway and Harding Blvd. meet. DO NOT USE THE ZOO’S MAIN ENTRANCE. Cars will only be permitted during their registered time. All others will be turned away.

WHERE DO I REDEEM MY TICKET?
While keeping your window up, please show your ticket to the attendant. If you do not have your ticket ready, you will be sent to the back of the line. If you do not have a ticket, you will not be admitted to the experience.

HOW DO I GET MY SAFARI SNACKS, BEER 4-PACK AND SWAG BAG?
Snacks will be delivered safely to drivers as they enter the event. All snacks are pre-packaged and will be handled by a masked and gloved staff member. Swag Bags, which include your beer, will be delivered directly to your trunk at the end of the event.

NAVIGATING YOUR SAFARI
When you begin your safari experience, please continue to move your vehicle in a slow and safe manner. Zoo staff will be on hand to direct you. To accommodate all guests, all cars must continue to move. Stopped cars will prevent others from beginning their safari. You may slow down to take photos. NO IDLING. NO HORNS. Please be mindful of those around you. Elmwood Park Zoo is not responsible for any property related incidences.

EXITING YOUR VEHICLE AT ANY TIME IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED
Guests who exit their vehicle will be asked to leave immediately without refund. Exiting your vehicle endangers all of the guests, staff and animals around you.

IS MY PET WELCOME?
Pets are welcome to attend the safari, but for the safety of our animals and for yours, we ask that the window where your pet is sitting remains closed.

ARE RESTROOMS AVAILABLE?
There are no restrooms available during the experience, so please be prepared prior to coming to the zoo. Please plan accordingly.

WHY IS THIS DRIVE THRU SAFARI MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE ONES YOU HELD IN THE PAST?
Drive Thru & Brew Safari is a fundraiser that is intended to make up a small portion of the proceeds that would have been gained through the zoo’s traditional fundraising events, such as Beast of a Feast, that were cancelled due to the pandemic. Our Drive Thru & Brew Safari is also a more extensive experience, welcoming guests to drive their own vehicles into the zoo, whereas the Drive Thru Safari events that we held in the spring were delegated to the zoo’s parking lot. Additionally, guests will receive beer and other items that were not available during those spring events.

DRIVE THRU & BREW SAFARI WILL BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.
