Those traveling by bus will park alongside Harding Boulevard and enter/depart through the south gate. Those traveling by car or van will park in one of the zoo’s main lots and enter through the main gate. Detailed parking and arrival instructions will be emailed to you as an attachment.

Groups arriving by bus do not need physical tickets or wristbands to enter the zoo. The south gate representative will check you in by group name. Any groups arriving separately in cars or small passenger vans will be emailed PDF tickets upon payment. Group members must present their tickets at the main gate in order to enter the zoo.

Your program(s) will either take place in the Zoo Bowl Theater or Oberkircher Discovery Center. On the day of your visit, make sure to confirm the location of your program(s) with the zoo representative checking your group in.

Feeding tickets will be available for pickup upon arrival. The zoo representative checking your group in will have your tickets.

Restrooms can be found in Trail of the Jaguar and across from the carousel.

In addition to the many picnic tables scattered around the zoo, Elmwood Park Zoo has two covered picnic areas that groups are welcome to utilize- the Calle Mae Picnic Pavilion and Stony Creek Pavilion. Additional uncovered areas can be found behind the carousel/pond and next to the Bison Train. If interested, groups can rent the Calle Mae Picnic Pavilion to reserve a spot (based on availability).



Additional tickets can be purchased at the Admissions Booth or inside the Nature Shop. Please note, the group discount will not be applied to tickets purchased at the door.

Memberships do not apply to group reservations. All group members must be accounted for in your ticket headcount.

Elmwood Park Zoo single day tickets are non-refundable, However general admission tickets will be given to the group leader for those who were unable to make it. These tickets are valid for one year but are NOT eligible for Special Events such as Boo at the Zoo and Wild Lights. Please note, it is the responsibility of a teacher/group leader to visit the Admissions Booth and pick up these tickets. Tickets will not be mailed.

Elmwood Park Zoo is proud to be a recognized by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) as a Certified Autism Center. We have built a separate closed off Quiet Space where our guests can go if they need privacy. You may find it at the south end of the zoo.
