International Vulture Awareness Day Celebration

On Saturday, September 2, we’re celebrating Vulture Awareness Day, an internationally recognized event that highlights the unique nature and plight of these ecologically vital yet highly misunderstood birds. Guests can witness a training demo with our black vulture, Hoover where they’ll discover how amazing vultures are and even experience the power and beauty of a bird in flight! Be sure to visit the Discovery Center Classroom for kid-centered activities featured around vultures. Events listed below are free to attend with zoo admission.
