MUSEUM/THEATRE ATTENDANT
Position: Museum/Theatre Attendant
Location: The Centre Theatre, 208 DeKalb Street, Norristown
Reports to: Guest Services Management Team
Employment Type: Seasonal
Summary of Responsibilities:
This position requires a friendly, customer-focused individual that helps to ensure an enjoyable experience for all guests. This role involves assisting patrons, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting daily operations. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about the arts and committed to providing excellent service.
- Assist management in ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all areas of the theatre’s operation.
- Communicate effectively with both adults and children in both group and individual settings. Always greet guests and exercise professionalism.
- Be available as per business needs.
- Adhere to proper dress attire at all times.
- Ensure guests are properly greeted and assisted at your assigned position.
- Communicate effectively with all guests and groups.
- Execute all necessary aspects of the position.
- Operate an assigned cash register making proper change, managing transactions, and ensuring a balanced till.
- Maintain cleanliness of museum exhibits and theatre.
- Respond to guest needs and customer inquiries regarding admissionrates, hours of operation, exhibit pieces, show information, and special events.
- Inform management of comments, suggestions, or concerns.
- Assist with restocking and inventory in retail or concession space
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Ability to frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Friendly disposition with excellent customer service skills
- Must be comfortable working around children
- Ability to maintain alertness and attentiveness to safety and proper
procedures - Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
- Meets the needs and expectations of the role, as per business needs
Work Experience: Some experience preferred
Identification, Benefits & Wage:
Two forms of official valid identification are required. Ability to pass criminal background and child abuse clearance is required.
Wage: $15.00/hr
