Camp FAQ

Early Registration begins on January 1st, 2020, and extends until March 31st 2020. Regular registration continues from April 1st, 2020 until the week before the selected week of camp. Registration closes the Friday before the Monday start of camp.

Registration is to be completed through our online registration system. Please visit the Education section of our website and continue through our Zoo Camps page.

You will have up to April 1st to either change dates (pending availability), or cancel with a full refund (not including processing fee). Any cancellations made after April 1st will not be refunded, and date changes will be subject to availability.

For our full day, week long Zoo Camp experiences, the entire week must be purchased. If you are interested in a single day zoo adventure, please review our Zookeeper for a Day experience or one of our School’s Out Day Camp offerings available to view on our Education webpage.

No. Full payment is required at the time of registration.

Yes! As long as you are registering your camper for the appropriate age group, you may sign up for multiple weeks.

No. We are not currently offering a several camper discount, however, there is an early bird discount if you register before March 31st.

School’s Out Day Camps only run on select days throughout the school year and can be purchased per day. Zoo Camp only runs between June and August and must be purchased in full weeks.

Camp drop off is at the main gate entrance to the zoo under the archway. You will need to park your vehicle to walk your camper up to the check-in station.

You will need to provide the camp counselor with an email or note the day prior to late drop off, or the morning of for early pick up.

Extended care is available for an additional fee. Early drop off is from 8am-8:30am and is an additional $15. Late pick up is from 4:30pm- 5pm and is an additional fee of $15.

Yes. lunch is not provided, and campers are unable to purchase lunch on site. A microwave and refrigerator will not be available, so please plan accordingly. A daily snack will be provided, and allergy information can be provided upon request.

Our Zoo Camp programs are designed for children who can remain in a group setting without parental involvement. If you choose to visit during the camp day, please do not attempt to meet up with your child as this is very distracting for our campers, and is a safety issue.

Unfortunately, for safety purposes we can not allow family or friends to stay inside the zoo after dropping off your camper. You will have to purchase a ticket and come back to the zoo at 10am when the zoo opens.

No. A parent, legal guardian or grandparent must register children. Please do not register friends or neighbors because you will be the primary emergency contact, and responsible for all medical and registration information.
