Celebrate the holiday season with the return of Wild Lights to Elmwood Park Zoo! We’re flipping the switch on millions of lights that will shine throughout the zoo’s entire 16 acres.
Take a stroll through Snowflake Central and be dazzled by Rainbow Runway. Catch our giant video show in the giraffe yard, and marvel at the custom decorations in the Wonder Way Christmas Tree exhibit. And of course, be sure to visit Santa’s Workshop for photos with the big man himself!
Each night of Wild Lights will feature live entertainment, including unique animal encounters, performances, character appearances, holiday music, and more. Check out our entertainment calendar for the latest updates!

Some attractions cost additional fees. OPERATING SCHEDULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
- Purchase hot chocolate and other seasonal snacks at the zoo’s Treetop Café and Watering Hole.
- Guests 21 and over will be able enjoy a selection of wine, beer, and festive spirits, including spiked hot chocolate and Irish coffee at our Zoo Brew Beer Garden & Bar.

Parking is conveniently located in the zoo’s main lot at 1661 Harding Boulevard.
Overflow parking is available in the US Maintenance parking lot, located at 1800 Markley street (behind the Dunkin Donuts on the corner of Markley Street and Johnson Highway). Shuttling will be available from this location to the zoo. Please look for “Pick Up/Drop Off” signage to indicate shuttle stops. Shuttles will be ongoing beginning at 5pm until 30 minutes after the close of the event.

All of our pathways for Wild Lights are wheelchair accessible. The route is designed in such a way that it stays on all of our main routes and avoids staircases. There are some inclines and declines during the walkthrough, but they are avoidable. All bathrooms have wheelchair accessibility and all paths on the experience are lit for the guests to make their way through the event. There will be heated tents for reprieve as well as fire pits and hot food and beverage for purchase.

Enjoy a warm DoubleTree Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookie upon arrival, complimentary Wi-Fi, two American style restaurants on site and a coffee shop proudly serving Starbucks beverages, including seasonal holiday favorites.
*Transportation to and from the zoo is based on availability and reservations are recommended. The final shuttle will pick up patrons at 8:45pm.
