Thank you for your interest in an exciting internship at the Elmwood Park Zoo! By submitting this application you are acknowledging that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You must complete a PA Criminal Background Check and PA Child Abuse Clearance and submit the results to us.
- You are a current college student or a recent graduate majoring in or having majored in a relevant course of study to the internship that you seek. OR; You are a current professional considering a career change and are seeking relevant experience.
Applications are kept on file for 12 months. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

For the Fall Session, Zookeeping and Education Ambassador Care Internships both require two (2) shifts per week minimum. The Conservation Education Internship requires one (1) shift minimum per week for all sessions. Please indicate below how many full day shifts every week of the session you are able to commit to an Elmwood Park Zoo Internship.
We do recommend doing as many as you can commit, as interns who intern more frequently learn and take on more responsibilities. Four (4) days per week is the maximum commitment we allow. Internship hours are not flexible. Weekend shifts fill up first so if you are available, we recommend also listing weekdays.

Please briefly describe any skills you have that will prepare you to serve in the internship position for which you are applying.

Certain internships in a zoo setting can be physically strenuous and require heavy lifting, many hours on your feet and working in difficult weather conditions. Please share with us any reason that you may not be able to meet these requirements.
