In accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s guidelines, it is the zoo’s policy to require all guests and employees to wear face masks*, with the exception of those with conditions in which wearing a mask may be harmful to their health**, and children ages 2 and under. This policy is intended to keep our animals, staff and guests safe. If you do not agree with this policy, we ask that you consider visiting the zoo at a later date, during which the pandemic crisis has lessened to a point that we do not require masks.
*Please bring your own face mask.
**Please let our check-in staff know upon arrival if you or your child must enter the zoo without a mask.
It is zoo policy to wear masks to keep our animals, staff and guests safe. We understand that not everyone agrees with this policy. If this applies to you, please consider visiting the zoo at a later date. You may choose to come back in the future when the COVID crisis is at a different phase and our safety policies are adjusted accordingly
The changes we have put in place are meant to create the safest possible environment for everyone at the zoo. We ask that everyone follow social distancing protocols and other posted guidelines throughout the zoo. If you feel sick before your scheduled reservation, we ask that you not visit the zoo.
Measures we are taking:
-We are closely monitoring the capacity at the zoo. Ticket sales are set to maintain safe park capacities.
-All staff, volunteers, and interns must wear face masks and appropriate PPE.
-All staff, volunteers, and interns must have their temperature taken prior to the start of their shift and prior to entering the building/facility.
-All staff, volunteers, and interns must wear gloves during their shift.
-We have installed hand sanitizer stations throughout the zoo, especially in high contact areas.
-All bathrooms have a maximum capacity posted on the door.
-We have provided each bathroom with single use towel dispensers for guests to use to touch surfaces.
-Each bathroom will be cleaned once every half hour.
-We’ve hired multiple new custodial positions dedicated to the sanitization of high traffic areas, including the zoo entrance and all surfaces.
If you are no longer able to visit during your reserved time, please let us know so that we can help you reschedule your visit and make your unused tickets available to other guests. Please contact us by emailing email@example.com or by calling 800-652-4143.
Please arrive at the zoo after reading our reopening plan. Our check-in staff will honor tickets that were purchased prior to our closure.
