BIRDS

What are Birds?

Birds are feathered, winged vertebrates. Birds are warm-blooded like mammals. Their hollow bones give most birds the ability to fly, although some birds, such as the rhea, are flightless.

Did you know?

Feathers are made of keratin, which is the same protein tissue that makes up human hair and fingernails.
